Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Exeter is seeking Manufacturing Operatives to join a production team manufacturing precision components for aerospace and gas turbine applications. The role offers training, shift premiums, and the potential for a permanent position.

You will work on 2-, 3-, or night-shift patterns, gaining experience in polishing, deburring, tool handling and quality checks while following detailed drawings and procedures.

Looking for a hands-on manufacturing job in Exeter with training, shift premium and the opportunity to become permanent?

We’re recruiting for Manufacturing Operatives or Production Operatives to join Howmet Aerospace at their site in Sowton Industrial Estate, Exeter, Devon.

Shift Patterns

2 Shift: 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm
3 Shift: 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am
Nights: 10pm-6am

Location: Sowton Industrial Estate, Exeter, EX2
Contract: Temporary ongoing with opportunities to become permanent

The Role

As a Manufacturing Operative / Production Operative, you'll work as part of a production team manufacturing and preparing precision components for aerospace and gas turbine applications.

Duties include:

• Polishing, deburring, cleaning and fine finishing
• Using hand tools and manufacturing equipment
• Setting, loading and preparing components
• Inspecting components and carrying out quality checks
• Following technical drawings, specifications and work instructions
• Identifying defects and preparing components for the next production stage
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
• Working as part of a multi-skilled manufacturing team
