Job summary

You'll work in a global aerospace manufacturing environment, polishing and assembling precision components, following drawings and instructions, and contributing to quality checks. Shift patterns are 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm on rotating days.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production, engineering, assembly, polishing, finishing, machine operation or similar practical work is useful but not essential.

• Polishing, deburring, cleaning and fine finishing

• Setting, loading and preparing components

We're recruiting for Manufacturing Operatives or Production Operatives to join Howmet Aerospace at their site in Sowton Industrial Estate, Exeter, Devon.

Shift Pattern

2 Shift: 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm

Location: Sowton Industrial Estate, Exeter, EX2
Contract: Temporary ongoing with opportunities to become permanent

The Role

As a Manufacturing Operative / Production Operative, you'll work as part of a production team manufacturing and preparing precision components for aerospace and gas turbine applications.

Duties include:

• Polishing, deburring, cleaning and fine finishing
• Using hand tools and manufacturing equipment
• Setting, loading and preparing components
• Inspecting components and carrying out quality checks
• Following technical drawings, specifications and work instructions
• Identifying defects and preparing components for the next production stage
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
• Working as part of a multi-skilled manufacturing team
