Job summary

TRC Yorkshire is hiring Manufacturing Assembly Operatives to join a busy workshop, manufacturing or assembling bearings, chain and ball units in line with drawings or customers’ requirements.

Hours are Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm and Friday 7am-1pm. The position is temporary ongoing with a rate of £12.71 per hour. Previous manufacturing experience, reliability and good communication skills are required. Transport may be needed for occasional site movement.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • Reliability and good communication skills.
  • Own transport to allow occasional movement between sites.

Responsibilities

  • General assembly work.
  • Using Toggle Press / Greasers and Fly press.
  • General chain assembly.
  • General inspection.
  • Manufacture or assemble components in accordance with drawings or SOPs.
  • Advise Department Leader of defective tooling, jigs or fixtures or manufacturing problems that prevent production targets.

Job description

We are currently hiring Manufacturing Assembly Operatives to join a leading manufacturer. You will be in a busy workshop environment and responsible for the manufacture or assembly of bearings / chain and ball units in accordance with drawings or customers’ requirements

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm Friday 7am-1pm

Rate: £12.71

Location: Lye, DY9

Key Responsibilities:
  • General assembly work
  • Using Toggle Press / Greasers and Fly press
  • General chain assembly
  • General inspection
  • Responsible for the manufacture or assembly of components in accordance with drawings or customers’ requirements and SOP’s
  • Advising Department Section Leader of defective tooling, jigs or fixtures or manufacturing problems that prevent production targets being achieved.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment
  • Reliability and good communication skills.
  • Ideally candidates will have their own means of transport to allow for occasional movement between sites, as the business needs.
