Job summary

Howdens Joinery is recruiting an experienced Operations Manager to join our Runcorn manufacturing site. You will lead a high-performing team, drive health and safety, quality, cost, delivery and people metrics, and report to the Business Unit Manager.

This role is based in Runcorn on a permanent basis. We seek proven leadership within a multi-line manufacturing or supply chain environment, a strong track record of continuous improvement, and the ability to foster a values-led culture.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience within a multi-line manufacturing or supply chain environment.
• Inspiring leadership style with the ability to engage teams and communicate a clear vision.
• Strong knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques with a track record of CI.
• Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safe and efficient flow of raw materials and finished goods to meet demand.
• Develop labour plans and budgets to deliver operational and strategic goals.
• Drive compliance standards and ensure policy adherence.
• Partner with Planning and Operations to deliver service priorities.
• Build a high-performing, adaptable team through clear leadership and communication.
• Collaborate across Supply Chain to optimise performance and service levels.
• Recruit, develop and engage talent while fostering a positive culture.
