Job summary

Wolviston Management Services Ltd is recruiting an experienced Operations Manager for an Upper-Tier COMAH manufacturing site in Redcar. You will lead safety, reliability, quality and cost objectives, shaping operational strategy and collaborating with maintenance, engineering and supply chain to align activities with site priorities.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on management and a proven track record of delivering sustainable improvements in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required or desirable with chartership progression.
• Strong operational leadership experience in chemical manufacturing or major hazard environments.
• Solid knowledge of process safety, EHS compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Track record of improving safety, reliability and cost performance in complex manufacturing.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the manufacturing organisation to deliver safety, environmental, quality and operational objectives.
• Ensure safe and efficient plant operations in line with procedures and permits.
• Champion EHS excellence, discipline and continuous improvement.
• Drive performance improvements and optimize equipment effectiveness.
• Coach and develop Shift Managers and the operations team, building capability and succession.
