Manufacturing Operations Director - Mid Cornwall - Circa: £115,000 (Neg) + Exceptional bonus scheme + enhanced benefits package + relocation support (where required)

This is a significant leadership role requiring an expert in people management, technical and commercial acumen. The successful candidate will oversee a complex manufacturing facility, acting as the site’s key voice and ensuring operational excellence. The employer is a technology-focused manufacturer of high-quality industrial equipment, operating globally with a strong financial position and a focus on sustainable growth. The candidate will lead the manufacturing division, maintaining high standards and motivating a skilled team. Responsibilities include:

  1. Planning and managing manufacturing processes for efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  2. Implementing process improvements and managing P&L responsibilities.
  3. Ensuring quality and regulatory compliance across value streams.
  4. Leading and developing the manufacturing team.
  5. Promoting health and safety policies.
  6. Collaborating with sales, marketing, and customer support teams, including major clients.
  7. Optimizing tooling and reducing material waste.
  8. Reporting on site performance, budgets, and forecasts.
  9. Traveling domestically and internationally as required.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A business or engineering degree.
  • At least three years of leadership experience in manufacturing or engineering.
  • Strong expertise in lean manufacturing, equipment, mechanics, and value streams.
  • Exceptional commercial awareness and financial acumen.
  • Proficiency with IT tools, including MS Office and digital systems.
