Job summary

Sofidel S.p.A. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to be based at the Papermill in Hamilton, Leicestershire. The role involves hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting continuous improvement to reduce downtime and improve machine performance.

The successful candidate will have a mechanical background, a recognised apprenticeship or degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, and prior FMCG experience. 42-hour week with shift flexibility and benefits on site.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in manufacturing
• Apprenticeship or degree in mechanical/electrical engineering
• Experience in FMCG preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide first hand intervention during mechanical breakdowns
• Repair and perform preventive maintenance as per established standards and plans
• Check equipment and operating systems and correct wherever necessary
• Maintain high quality mechanical operations and controls
• Support continuous improvement to reduce downtime and improve performance
