About The Role

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in establishing and scaling our new manufacturing facility in Bicester. As Manufacturing Manager, you’ll lead a large, diverse manufacturing organisation of circa 60–100 people (as part of a wider manufacturing team of over 400), while being hands‑on in bringing a brand‑new site into operational readiness.

You’ll set the tone, standards, and ways of working for the site from a manufacturing perspective — building high‑performing teams, embedding a strong safety and quality culture, and ensuring world‑class delivery from day one. Reporting into Operations leadership, you’ll act as a visible, trusted leader during a period of significant growth and change.

  • Creating a culture of continuous improvement, structured problem solving, and operational excellence
  • Ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are embedded and upheld across all manufacturing activities
  • Managing production schedules, resources, and capacity to meet customer demand reliably and on time
  • Working closely with cross‑functional partners to support new product introductions and process improvements
  • Owning operational performance, including quality, productivity, output, and cost control
  • Developing people through coaching, feedback, and performance management, building strong leadership capability within the team
What Skills And Experience You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience leading manufacturing teams within a complex technical or regulated production environment.
  • A track record of managing large, diverse teams and creating inclusive, high‑engagement cultures
  • Experience supporting site start‑ups, expansions, or major operational change is highly advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and structured problem‑solving methodologies
  • Confidence working with KPIs, visual management, and data‑driven decision‑making
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels, building trust and collaboration
  • A practical, solutions‑focused mindset with the resilience to navigate ambiguity and change
  • A background in manufacturing, engineering, or operations management, with relevant technical or business qualifications
What’s On Offer
  • Competitive base salary
  • 26 days annual leave, with the option to buy up to 10 days and sell up to 5
