Overview:

A leading food manufacturer is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to oversee and improve production operations at their Glasgow facility. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong background in food manufacturing, ideally with exposure to lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across multiple production lines
  • Drive safety, quality, and performance targets in line with site KPIs
  • Implement and embed lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency
  • Manage and mentor shift managers and production teams
  • Monitor and control departmental budgets and resources
  • Collaborate with engineering, technical, and planning teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Lead site initiatives in continuous improvement and OEE tracking

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar Manufacturing Manager or Production Manager role within food manufacturing
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent understanding of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma (certification desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, compliance, and site H&S practices
  • Ability to analyse production data and implement improvement plans
