Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Management Accountant in Chatham to manage core accounting activities for an Industrial / Manufacturing business, helping leaders make informed financial decisions. You will join the Accounting & Finance team to maintain accurate information and support day-to-day operations.

Key duties include preparing monthly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, reconciliations, and reporting to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing management accounts and financial reports.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Confidence reconciling accounts and investigating financial variances.
• Attention to detail when maintaining financial records.
• Ability to present financial information clearly to colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts to provide clear and accurate financial information.
• Maintain financial records and ensure accounting data is complete and up to date.
• Review financial performance and highlight key movements for internal stakeholders.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities with reliable financial analysis.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate differences in a timely way.
• Prepare reports that help the Accounting & Finance team monitor costs and performance.
• Work with colleagues across the Industrial / Manufacturing business to gather financial information.
• Help improve reporting processes to make financial information easier to use.
