Job summary

Ball Corporation is seeking an Manufacturing Operator in Kettering to support plant production goals through safe operations, quality focus, and teamwork. The role involves rotating 8.5-hour shifts (early, late, night) across a 6-on/4-off pattern, with responsibilities including adherence to site policies, line ownership, quality inspections, and lean improvement initiatives.

Excellent communication in English is essential, and no prior manufacturing background is required.

• Complies with and practices, policies, and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of the work assignment.
• Take ownership for the production line, inspire yourself and others to achieve world class manufacturing practices and results.
• Conducts inspection of in-process or finished product to ensure quality targets are achieved.
• Takes care of the work area and equipment to create a safe and efficient work environment.
• Initiate and support lean and improvement initiatives.
• Perform on-the-job training for other personnel.
• 8.5-hour shifts, rotating earlies, lates, and nights.

Job description

As the Manufactuirng Operator, you're a key member of the Kettering Team, reporting to the Production Team Leader. You will contribute to the success of Ball by performing tasks and providing services to support the plant's production goals and overall business plans. The Shift pattern is: 6 days on (2 morning, 2 afternoon, 2 night shifts) - 8.5 hours per shift. 4 days off How You'll Make a Difference The responsibilities below represent more than daily tasks.
