Job summary

Ball Corporation in the United Kingdom is seeking a Quality Control Technician (Shift) to support daily QC processes across production operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality products.

You will monitor quality performance, analyze data, investigate non-conformances, and support CAPA activities, with exposure to ISO 9001 and BRCGS standards. The rotation is 4 weeks on days and 4 weeks on nights.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing role (mandatory).
• Strong numerical aptitude and ability to analyze quality data, trends, and performance indicators.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and BRCGS quality standards and requirements is desirable.
• Computer literacy with strong Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with SAP being advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving, organization, record-keeping and attention to details are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide data analysis, trend reporting, and investigation support for quality non-conformances and continuous improvement activities.
• Present quality findings and feedback to employees at different levels of the organization to promote awareness and improvement.
• Support internal production trials, assist with rework control activities, and help validate quality outcomes during process changes.
• Collaborate across departments to investigate and resolve quality issues through corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
• Set up and support automated quality vision systems while maintaining accurate quality records and compliance with ISO 9001 and BRCGS requirements.

As a Quality Control Technician (Shift), you will support the day-to-day execution of quality control processes across production operations, helping ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality products for customers. Working closely with production, technical, and quality teams, you will analyze quality performance, identify improvement opportunities, and support corrective actions. Your work will contribute directly to operational excellence, product compliance, and continuous improvement across the site.
