Job summary

Vectis Recruitment seeks an IT Site Coordinator for a leading UK manufacturer. You will provide first- and second-line IT support to office and production staff, ensuring reliable technology across the site.

You will install and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals; diagnose hardware, software and network issues; manage user accounts and security; and lead IT projects from conception to completion while keeping documentation up to date.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an IT professional in a fast-paced environment (manufacturing, distribution, engineering).
• Experience in managing IT projects from conception to completion.
• Knowledge of ERP systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-line IT support to office and production staff.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices and peripheral equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and security.
• Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business goals.
• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software.
• Lead IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
• Monitor backups, antivirus and system performance to ensure business continuity.
• Maintain accurate documentation of systems, procedures, and support requests.
• Liaise with third-party suppliers and service providers when required.
• Ensure IT systems comply with company security policies and best practices.
