McLaren Automotive Limited invites applicants for a 12-month Industrial Placement in Manufacturing Engineering at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking. You will support critical operations in a high‑performance automotive environment, work on live projects, and gain exposure to build processes, lean principles, and production planning.

Responsibilities

• Support integration of new model build processes into live production.
• Assist in process mapping, sequencing and maintaining traceability documentation.
• Contribute to engineering change assessments and coordinate design reviews.
• Participate in time and motion studies and line balancing to improve efficiency.
• Identify production bottlenecks and work cross-functionally to resolve issues.
• Apply lean principles to reduce waste and improve build quality.
• Collaborate on facility layout planning and production simulation modelling.
