Job summary

MacGregor Black is partnering with a manufacturing business to appoint an HR Business Partner at its Kent site. Reporting directly to the People Director, you will provide hands‑on HR support to site leaders and managers while taking ownership of wider people projects.

The role requires high visibility at the manufacturing site and travel to Head Office, potentially once a week. You will manage complex employee relations cases and coach managers on performance and absence.

Qualifications

• Broad HR generalist experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong employee relations knowledge and experience managing complex cases.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and credibility to influence at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Partner with site leaders and managers on day‑to‑day people matters, providing practical and timely advice.
• Manage complex employee relations cases through to resolution.
• Coach managers on performance, absence, conduct and other people issues.
• Lead and contribute to strategic projects covering engagement, workforce planning, talent and organisational change.
• Build strong relationships across the manufacturing site and with Head Office colleagues.
• Use people data and feedback to identify priorities and improve HR practices.
