Job summary

NT Engineering & Manufacturing in the Glasgow area is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to take ownership of safety across a large manufacturing site. The role demands strong communication, training, and the ability to influence teams at all levels, with a focus on machine and line safety.

Qualifications

• Solid H&S experience gained in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on knowledge of machine guarding and production line safety.
• Confidence to influence and train people across a large, busy site.
• A data-led, continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support the H&S strategy through data analysis and monitoring of legislation.
• Advise the business on legislative changes and best practice.
• Report on key safety metrics, identify trends and drive action plans.
• Control site works from an H&S perspective (permits to work, contractor control, risk assessments).
• Contribute to occupational health surveillance based on risk.
• Deliver regulatory and awareness H&S training aligned with the Competency Framework.
• Drive continuous improvement across the H&S framework and IMS.
• Coordinate regulators, auditors and third-party consultants, ensuring actions are closed out.
