Job summary

Berry Recruitment client in Larkfield is seeking a manufacturing & general operative to help produce picture frames. Role involves operating light tools, handling glass, and occasional order picking/packing; 1-12 week temp contract, ASAP start, 8am–6pm Mon-Thu and 8am–5pm Fri; paid breaks. PPE required and transport helpful.

Hours and duties may vary; breaks are paid, safety boots and a Hi Vis vest are required, and the assignment will be reviewed weekly based on workload.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial tools and machinery in a manufacturing environment preferred but not essential.
• Ability to perform light order picking, packing and shrink wrapping is beneficial.
• Must wear safety boots and Hi Vis vest.
• Temp role lasting 1-12 weeks with weekly reviews.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture picture frames using available tools/machinery where appropriate.
• Handle glass safely as part of the frame-making process.
• Assist with order picking, packing and shrink wrapping as required.
• Possible heavy manual handling on a daily basis.

Job description

We are currently looking for a manufacturing & general operative to work for our client based in Larkfield.

Your main role will be manufacturing picture frames. This means using tools and machinery such as nail guns or cutting machinery is preferred but not essential. As part of the process you will be handling glass as well. You could also be doing some order picking /packing & shrink wrapping; there could be some heavy manual handling involved on a daily basis. Previous experience of working with industrial tools and machinery in a manufacturing environment is preferred but again is not essential.

Start: ASAP

You will be working Monday to Thursday 8am - 6pm and on Friday 8am - 5pm (hours subject to change).

Pay rate of £12.71 an hour. Breaks are also paid.

Own transport is preferred but not essential as it is easily accessible by public transport links.

You must have safety boots and a Hi Vis vest.

This is a temp role lasting initially 1-12 weeks, but will be reviewed weekly, as will depend on suitability to the role & work load.
