Job summary

COBA Holdings is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant (CIMA/ACCA) to join our busy head office finance function in a manufacturing environment. This role provides business partnering across two subsidiaries within the Plastics group.

You will manage month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT submissions, budgeting and forecasts, and year-end support. Strong Excel skills and ERP experience are essential to deliver accurate, timely insights.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant status (CIMA/ACCA) or studying towards the final level with relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills and ability to drive continuous improvement.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, team player with initiative.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines while delivering high quality results.
• Expert technical ability, including strong MS Excel (vlookups/pivot tables) and ERP system experience.

Responsibilities

• Month end management accounting and reporting including income statement, balance sheet, variance analysis and commentary.
• Reconciliation of balance sheet items including fixed asset register, accruals and prepayments, inventory and banking.
• Reconciliation and submission of VAT to HMRC.
• Annual budget planning and preparation of forecasts for 6+6 reviews.
• Year end collation of documents, schedules and analysis for audit and tax.
• Standard costing review.
