Job summary

Trostan Dene is seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant/Finance Manager in the East Lancashire area. The role focuses on partner to operations, with monthly site visits to support month-end processes and deliver meaningful financial insight.

You will oversee financial operations, ensure accurate reporting and budgeting, and provide strategic guidance to senior management to improve profitability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting in a manufacturing setting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies.
• Support cost control initiatives and drive profitability and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
• Coordinate external audits and manage auditor relationships.
• Analyse costs and identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
• Implement cost controls across operations including inventory management, procurement and production.
• Monitor KPIs relevant to performance and efficiency.
• Mentor the wider finance team and promote continuous learning.
