Job summary

Ganymede is seeking an experienced Engineering Planner to support the coordination and delivery of mechanical and electrical projects at a large food manufacturing site in Kettering. The role focuses on planning and prioritising a varied portfolio of live CAPEX projects, including machinery installations, pipework, electrical panels, power supply upgrades and broader plant infrastructure improvements.

Qualifications

• Engineering Planner with experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Experience coordinating multiple live projects and resources.
• Ability to plan around plant shutdowns and production needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed schedules for multiple mechanical and electrical projects.
• Use Gantt charts and planning software to sequence activities, allocate resources and track progress.
• Coordinate labour, contractors and specialist resources across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Plan and prioritise work around production requirements and scheduled plant shutdowns.
• Attend regular planning meetings, typically twice per week, to review upcoming works and resource conflicts.
• Coordinate stakeholders to avoid clashes over equipment, access and other site resources.
• Improve forward planning and reduce reactive scheduling.
• Monitor project progress, identify delays, and support recovery planning.
• Maintain accurate planning databases covering project timelines and resources.
• Support CAPEX projects involving machinery installations, pipework, steam systems, electrical panels, distribution boards, power supplies and safety circuits.
• Work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure schedules reflect operational constraints and available resources.
