The Manufacturing Engineering Manager role will be based at HydraForce Hydraulics in Birmingham, England.

Job Description

• Lead the engineering team, achieving high levels of engagement, promoting a resilient, diverse, high-performing team.
• Identify resources required to fulfill projects, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress.
• Act as an internal liaison with relevant departments and personnel throughout projects to ensure business requirements are met.
• Provide technical leadership and make robust decisions on complex engineering risks and solutions.
• Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of all projects.
• Implement and promote lean processes to streamline operations and eliminate waste.
• Develop project plans and track deliverables using appropriate tools.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.
• Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders, including problems and solutions.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained as a gatekeeper.
• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives, coaching others to contribute both formally and informally.
• Liaise with relevant personnel to efficiently introduce new products using the company's Advanced Product Quality Planning process.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in a leadership role within an international engineering business.
• Broad technical experience in your specialization, with knowledge of engineering approaches.
• Experience in Hydraulics is preferred.
• Previous experience in change management.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels and cultures.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
