Job summary

The Supply Register Ltd. is offering a temporary Manufacturing Engineering teaching role at the Wansbeck Campus.

The position involves delivering lessons across Level 3 and potentially Higher Education programmes, covering both practical and theoretical aspects of manufacturing, machining, measurement and inspection, and engineering maths. Qualifications

  • Experience delivering manufacturing engineering lessons to FE students.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining and inspection techniques.
  • Ability to motivate and support learners to achieve qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering Manufacturing Engineering lessons to FE students across Level 3 and potentially Higher Education programmes.
  • Teaching practical and theoretical subjects including manufacturing processes, machining, measurement and inspection, engineering maths, health and safety, and engineering communications.
  • Planning, preparing, and assessing learning in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate student records.
  • Promoting safe working practices and industry standards within workshop and classroom environments.

Job description

responsibilities include:

  • Delivering Manufacturing Engineering lessons to FE students across Level 3 and potentially Higher Education programmes Teaching both practical and theoretical subjects including manufacturing processes, machining, measurement and inspection, engineering maths, health and safety, and engineering communications Supporting learners in developing workshop skills including bench fitting, hand tool usage, milling and turning principles Delivering content relating to mechanical and electromechanical manufacturing systems Planning, preparing, and assessing learning in line with curriculum requirements Supporting learners with target setting, progress reviews, and achievement of qualifications Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate student records Promoting safe working practices and industry standards within workshop and classroom environments What We're Looking For A, Level 5 qualification in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical
    Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline Level 5 teaching qualification, (essential for the temporary role) Level 2 Maths and English (or equivalent) Strong industry experience within manufacturing, production, or mechanical engineering environments Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining operations, measurement and inspection techniques, workshop practice, and engineering health and safety Experience delivering practical and theoretical engineering training Strong communication and classroom management skills Ability to motivate and support learners to achieve their goals Level 3 Assessor qualification (desirable) Enhanced DBS Child Workforce and Child Barred List check (essential) Benefits Temporary opportunity with potential for longer-term opportunities Competitive hourly rate of £24.43 - £42.03 including holiday pay Opportunity to work within a growing manufacturing and engineering provision Access to new, state-of-the‑art facilities at the Wansbeck Campus
