Job summary

Pspersonnelltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to optimise production capability at one of our client sites that produces foam and gas suppression systems. This role focuses on improving efficiency, reducing cost and enhancing quality across production operations.

You will work with production, engineering and supply chain teams in office and site environments to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with CAD.
• Strong communication skills and a data-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and review production plans to meet output, cost and quality objectives.
• Monitor expenditure and forecast resource and production capacity requirements.
• Optimise manufacturing layouts for assembly and materials handling.
• Design and improve manufacturing processes, equipment and machine utilisation.
• Plan and sequence manufacturing operations to improve flow and efficiency.
• Provide guidance and input into engineering design concepts for manufacturability.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma / DMAIC methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality, cost and productivity improvements.
