Job summary

JRS Associates, in partnership with an established precision engineering business in the Ripley area, seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to own technically demanding projects. You will develop and optimise manufacturing methods for complex components, establish CNC strategies, and ensure high-quality manufacturing standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a precision machining environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience producing manufacturing routings and methods of manufacture.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise manufacturing methods for complex precision-machined components.
• Establish CNC machining strategies, tooling requirements and fixturing solutions.
• Produce manufacturing routings, stage drawings, operation sheets and technical documentation.
• Review engineering drawings, customer specifications and manufacturing requirements.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the manufacturing process.
• Specify materials, subcontract processes and inspection requirements.
• Work closely with CNC machining, production and quality departments.
• Identify opportunities to improve cycle times, manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100 and relevant industry standards.
