Job summary

Brellis Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer for a leading Tier 1 automotive manufacturer in Wolverhampton. The role focuses on process improvements, equipment buy offs, and engineering changes to keep high-volume operations efficient and safe.

You will work hands-on with automated processes, drive cost-reduction initiatives and support projects through introductions and shutdowns, collaborating with production and quality teams to maintain lean, reliable performance.

Qualifications

Sound engineering knowledge across manufacturing processes and a track record of improving them.
Experience with automated processes including PLCs (Siemens), Robotics (ABB), and welding (Spot/MIG/Friction), SPAC, clinch, sealant and SPR.
Computer literate with firm knowledge of CAD and experience with Microsoft Office, SAP, Captor or OEE monitoring software.
Knowledge of material properties, electrical, mechanical, fluid power and machining.

Responsibilities

Own process improvements, equipment buy offs and engineering changes, collaborating with production and quality teams.
Hands-on with automated processes, drive cost down initiatives and support project introductions and shutdown activity.
Achieve OEE targets across availability, performance and quality, and document standard procedures.
