Job summary

Morson is partnering with a leading defence manufacturer to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer for their Glasgow site. The role focuses on industrialisation projects and production readiness, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Management team.

You will contribute to NPI processes, cost estimation, and process definition while applying Lean methods to drive improvements and meet KPIs within a busy production environment.

Qualifications

• Degree level in engineering required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Oracle, Palma and Mestec.

Responsibilities

• Support industrialisation projects and production readiness.
• Lead New Product Introduction processes and PPAP/DFX activities.
• Review engineering definitions and approve manufacturing documentation.
• Define assembly and testing processes.
• Manage non-conformances and engineering changes during production.
• Monitor product costs to ensure efficiency.
• Collaborate with Workcell/APRU Managers to meet KPIs.
• Identify and implement Lean-based improvements.
