Job summary

JCB, a leading manufacturer, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimise production processes, tooling and layouts at our site. You will work with cross‑functional teams to introduce new products, improve safety, quality and efficiency, and drive cost reductions.

You will apply Lean methods, perform time studies, lead continuous improvement projects and support PFMEA, Control Plans and NPI activities while maintaining compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and maintaining manufacturing processes, work instructions and SOPs.
• Experience with NPI and design for manufacturability.
• Proven track record in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) for efficient manufacture and assembly.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for safety, quality, productivity, delivery and cost reduction.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and increase equipment utilisation.
• Design and specify production tooling, fixtures, jigs and assembly aids.
• Conduct time studies and line balancing to optimise flow.
