Job summary

CSS Contracts Support Services Ltd in Mildenhall, Suffolk, is recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer for a permanent role in a leading metal and fabrication company.

The position offers a competitive salary dependent on experience, with standard Monday–Friday 8am–5pm hours and scope to apply lean, Six Sigma and maintenance scheduling to improve cost, quality, and uptime. You will diagnose issues, maintain records, and document standard work and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Experience applying lean or Six Sigma to improve manufacturing processes.
• Ability to develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules.
• Strong diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical systems.
• Capable of maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Experienced in creating standard work instructions and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Apply lean, six sigma and other improvement methodologies to enhance processes, reduce costs and improve quality.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and technical issues quickly.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
• Develop and maintain standard work instructions, process documentation, routings and BOMs.
• Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and modifications.
