Job summary

CSS Contracts Support Services Ltd in Mildenhall, Suffolk, is recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer for a permanent role in a leading metal and fabrication company.

The position offers a competitive salary dependent on experience, with standard Monday–Friday 8am–5pm hours and scope to apply lean, Six Sigma and maintenance scheduling to improve cost, quality, and uptime. You will diagnose issues, maintain records, and document standard work and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Experience applying lean or Six Sigma to improve manufacturing processes.
• Ability to develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules.
• Strong diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical systems.
• Capable of maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Experienced in creating standard work instructions and BOMs.

Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for a leading and prestigious metal and fabrication company based in Mildenhall, Suffolk.

Due to their continued growth and success, they are seeking to employ a Manufacturing Engineer to start as soon as possible.

This is a permanent role offering a very competitive salary depending on experience and skills.

Working Hours

• Monday - Friday




• 8am - 5pm

Duties Will Include

• Apply lean, six sigma, and other improvement methodologies to enhance processes, reduce costs and improve quality




• Develop and execute comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment and machinery




• Quickly diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technical issues




• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities




• Develop and maintain standard work instructions, process documentation, routings & bills of materials




• Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades & modifications
