Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Minworth/Sutton Coldfield is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer on a contract basis to support a high‑volume production operation. The role is based in Sutton Coldfield and involves hands‑on engineering across production, quality and maintenance teams.

You will identify process improvements, perform root‑cause analyses and implement corrective actions while supporting new product introductions and process launches.

Qualifications

• Experience as Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer or Production Engineer.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
• Experience with root-cause analysis and problem solving.
• Strong continuous improvement mindset and hands-on approach.
• Ability to coordinate with production, quality, tooling, maintenance and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on engineering and technical support to production.

The Opportunity

We are currently working with an established and growing advanced manufacturing business based in Minworth, Sutton Coldfield, who are looking to bring an experienced Manufacturing Engineer into the team on a contract basis.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to work within a busy, high-volume manufacturing environment, supporting production, improving processes and delivering continuous improvement projects.

The successful engineer will be hands-on, technically strong and comfortable working closely with Production, Quality, Tooling, Maintenance and Engineering teams.

The Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide day-to-day engineering support across the manufacturing operation, helping to improve productivity, quality, efficiency and overall production performance.

You will be involved in identifying and resolving manufacturing issues, optimising processes and supporting new products and process introductions.

Essential Experience

• Previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer or Production Engineer.
• Experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong manufacturing and process engineering knowledge.
• Experience with root-cause analysis and problem solving.
• Strong continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to work closely with production and other engineering functions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
• Practical, hands-on approach to engineering.
