Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Llanelli to design, optimise and implement manufacturing processes for high-volume production. The role covers process development, validation, and continuous improvement across the production lifecycle.

You will support new product introductions, engineering changes, and OEM program launches, while maintaining PFMEA, control plans, process flow diagrams and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing engineering within high-volume environments.
• Proven ability to develop and improve manufacturing processes.
• Experience supporting new product introductions and launches.
• Experience developing PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, SOPs and Work Instructions.
• Strong knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement techniques.
• Led root cause analysis and implemented corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, validate, and continuously improve manufacturing processes.
• Support new product introductions and OEM program launches from concept to production.
• Create and maintain process flow diagrams, PFMEA, control plans, work instructions and SOPs.
• Establish process controls and methods to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
• Develop CAPEX proposals and business cases for tooling, fixtures and automation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, validate, and continuously improve manufacturing processes supporting disassembly.
• Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and OEM program launches from concept through full production implementation.
• Develop and maintain process flow diagrams, PFMEA documents, control plans, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and manufacturing standards.
• Establish process controls and manufacturing methods that ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are consistently achieved.
• Develop CAPEX proposals and business cases for tooling, fixtures, gauges, testing equipment, material handling systems, automation, and facility improvements.

Requirements

• Experience of manufacturing engineering experience within high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated experience developing and improving manufacturing processes.
• Experience supporting new product launches, process industrialization, and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Experience developing PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
