Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer for its growing engineering operation in Llanelli (SA14). The role focuses on developing and continuously improving high-volume manufacturing processes, supporting new product introductions and process industrialization.

You will create and maintain PFMEAs, control plans, process flow diagrams and work instructions, ensure safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives, and contribute to CAPEX proposals.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing engineering within high-volume environments.
• Experience developing and improving manufacturing processes.
• Experience supporting new product introductions and process industrialization.
• Experience creating PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams and SOPs.
• Strong understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, validate, and improve manufacturing processes supporting disassembly.
• Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and OEM program launches from concept through production.
• Develop and maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, SOPs and manufacturing standards.
• Establish process controls and methods to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives.
• Develop CAPEX proposals for tooling, fixtures, gauges, testing equipment and automation.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, validate, and continuously improve manufacturing processes supporting disassembly.
• Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and OEM program launches from concept through full production implementation.
• Develop and maintain process flow diagrams, PFMEA documents, control plans, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and manufacturing standards.
• Establish process controls and manufacturing methods that ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are consistently achieved.
• Develop CAPEX proposals and business cases for tooling, fixtures, gauges, testing equipment, material handling systems, automation, and facility improvements.

Requirements

• Experience of manufacturing engineering experience within high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated experience developing and improving manufacturing processes.
• Experience supporting new product launches, process industrialization, and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Experience developing PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
