Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - Design and Planning

Working Pattern: Full time

Rolls-Royce is developing manufacturing methods, processes, and materials for composite fan systems. We are experiencing growth as we deliver composite components and manufacturing programs across Civil Aerospace and Defence divisions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to work within the Composite Technology Facility (CTF) as part of our Engineering, Test, and Safety business. Responsibilities include developing manufacturing drawings, procedures, and instructions for composite components. The role is based in CTF Bristol on the Filton site, with visits to offsite facilities, working closely with other parts of Rolls-Royce and external partners.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and delivering manufacturing drawings and instructions for new fan systems.
• Ensuring designs meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery standards.
• Developing technical packages using digital tools like CAPP and MES.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and sharing best practices.

Candidate profile:

• Degree or equivalent in Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Experience with CAD (Siemens NX) and Siemens Teamcenter environment.
• Knowledge of Siemens MES and digital manufacturing tools.
• Understanding of manufacturing engineering processes and model-based definition.
