Job summary

We're seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly & Test) to join our Manufacturing Engineering team on a contract basis, providing support across all operational areas of our Hampshire site.

Contract Details:

• Duration: Until June 2026 (initially)
• Location: Titchfield site, UK
• Pay Rate: Up to £35/hour PAYE (£40.09 incl. holiday pay / approx. £46.50 Umbrella)
• Engagement: PAYE only

This role requires experience in Assembly/Test Manufacturing Engineering environments, with familiarity with LAIRs and FAIRs processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support production areas to achieve output, quality, cost, and safety objectives
2. Follow directions from Lead and Senior Manufacturing Engineers to meet performance targets
3. Complete manufacturing documentation and system transactions accurately and timely
4. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) phases for production readiness
5. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in quality, productivity, and delivery
6. Implement best practices including lean methodologies
7. Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations

Key Skills & Experience:

1. Strong background in manufacturing engineering principles, lean manufacturing (Six Sigma), value stream mapping, process flows, RCCA, SOP development
2. Experience with BOM and routing audits
3. Knowledge of LAIRs and FAIRs processes
4. Experience supporting NPI projects and collaborating with supply chain
5. Familiarity with additive manufacturing and continuous improvement
6. Knowledge of laser part marking technology, Pryor equipment, and software is advantageous
7. Understanding of MRP/ERP systems and production planning
8. Knowledge of supply chain operations including planning, scheduling, inventory control, and logistics
