Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Devon is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a world-class aerospace manufacturing site. You will develop, improve, and support manufacturing processes to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets are met.

Key responsibilities include driving Lean manufacturing, CI initiatives, supporting production with technical expertise, leading root cause investigations, and developing work instructions and process controls.

Qualifications

  • Degree-qualified in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean and CI tools.
  • Experience with 8D or A3 root cause analysis.
  • Familiar with Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management and 6S.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimise manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Support production teams with technical expertise and process improvements.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and process controls.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and process validation activities.
  • Work closely with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance teams to improve operational performance.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace and regulatory standards.

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a

Manufacturing Engineer to join a world-class aerospace manufacturing business at its Devon-based facility.

Working within a highly innovative aerospace environment, you will be responsible for developing, improving, and supporting manufacturing processes to ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, delivery, and productivity are achieved.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and optimise manufacturing processes and procedures.

  • Experience with root cause analysis methodologies such as 8D or A3.
  • Familiarity with Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management, and 6S.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
