Baltic Recruitment are assisting a leading global manufacturing business to find a talented Manufacturing Engineer for a brand-new site. The role starts at the Solihull facility for 6–12 months, then relocates permanently to the Stoke-on-Trent area.

You will drive manufacturing excellence, shape processes and ensure safe, high-quality production. Degree in engineering and automotive experience are essential, with SAP and 37-hour weeks.

Qualificações

• Degree in engineering/technical field.
• Primary automotive experience in manufacturing tech or assembly operations.
• Proficiency with MS Office and 2-3D design software.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team.
• English language skills, written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure efficient operation of the production line and resolve problems.
• Prepare, update and train work instructions for production processes.
• Plan, test and implement preventive maintenance to stabilize safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Define and manage spare parts lists.
• Support QA investigations and corrective actions; assist with customer feedback.
• Participate in development of optimization and scrap management procedures.
• Collaborate with shift managers and operators to ensure procedures are followed.
• Prepare reports and data for internal and external customers.
• Work with SAP system and adhere to automotive standards and audits.

Description

Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a leading global manufacturing business with their search for a talented Manufacturing Engineer to play a key role in launching a brand-new production site.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape manufacturing processes, drive operational excellence, and make a real impact from day one!

This role will initially be based at the company’s Solihull facility for approximately 6-12 months, before transitioning to the new production site in Stoke-on-Trent, where the successful candidate will be permanently based.

Key Duties:

• To ensure the efficient operation of the production line and to solve any problems that arise in this regard.
• Preparation, up-to-date and training of work instructions for production processes.
• Planning, testing and assisting in the implementation of preventive maintenance and emergency measures on production lines in order to create production processes that are stable in terms of safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Responsible for non-critical changes in production processes, collaborating with partner departments.
• Responsible for defining the spare parts list.
• Support for quality assurance investigations or further corrective actions, support for partner departments resulting from product and process inspections, internal quality inspections or customer feedback and complaints.
• Participation in the development of optimization and scrap management procedures.
• Performing tasks assigned during PDCA.
• Implementing cooperation with shift managers and operators to ensure that procedures are properly followed.
• Participation in regular meetings with representatives of the production areas.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and data for internal and external customers.
• Performing tasks that require working in an SAP system.
• Understanding and complying with automotive industry standards and customer specifications, as well as participating in audits.
• All other tasks according to their education and experience, which their manager and managers entrust them with.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in engineering/technical field.
• Primary automotive professional experience in the field of manufacturing technology and/or assembly operations.
• 2-3D design software, knowledge of MS Office.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team and independently.
• Written and oral language skills appropriate to working in English are expected.
• Openness to further learning.

The Package:

• £42,000 – £50,000 per annum depending on experience. (may be some flex on higher rate).

• Healthcare Cash Plan – via Simplyhealth Level 3 currently.

• Holidays – 27 days.

• Pension employer contribution – 6%.
• Working hours – 37 hours per week.
