We currently have a vacancy to join one of the world's leading, global defence, security and aerospace companies as a Manufacturing Engineer. The role will be based in Glasgow and will require the successful candidate to be on site full time although there may be some flexibility occasionally. This will be working a 37 hour week with a 1pm finish on Fridays.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have significant involvement in key Manufacturing Engineering projects. You will use your knowledge and experience to guarantee delivery of Manufacturing Engineering outputs into their customer Manufacturing Operations Function that ensure design intent can be met. The role holder will advise, coach and influence other team members from Manufacturing Engineering as well as collaborating with other functions: Engineering Quality, Supply-Chain.
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will develop, implement, improve optimum and govern capable methods of manufacture, assembly and installation within Naval Ships (including verification methods). These tasks will be optimised to meet customer and business requirements for Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery throughout the product lifecycle including influencing design intent and Design for Manufacture.
You must be eligible to apply for SC clearance and, therefore, must hold a British passport and have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years
