Mission
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to oversee the calibration, maintenance, and repair of all manufacturing and production equipment.
The ideal candidate will ensure equipment availability aligns with production schedules and regulatory compliance while supporting continuous improvement efforts using Lean methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct equipment installation, condition monitoring, calibration, fault diagnosis, and repair.
- Apply Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to resolve breakdowns and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Supervise and liaise with external contractors and service providers, ensuring safe practices and minimal production disruption.
- Act as a role model in fostering strong working relationships across internal teams and with external partners.
- Schedule and coordinate all maintenance and calibration work via the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Ensure timely completion and documentation of both internal and external PM and calibration tasks.
- Maintain the CMMS database in accordance with internal procedures.
- Work within ISO13485, FDA, and TUV regulatory frameworks.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, GMP).
- Drive capital expenditure projects through to completion.
- Uphold all health, safety, and environmental standards and policies.
- Perform additional duties as reasonably required within the scope of the role.
Qualifications & Experience
- Demonstrated engineering experience in regulated sectors such as medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, FMCG, food, or automotive.
- Engineering HNC/HND or equivalent mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong IT literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven track record in continuous improvement and Lean project implementation.
- Ability to participate in the on-call rota and reside within a one-hour commute of the facility.
