Job summary

Safran in Burnley is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Industrial Operations to industrialise, optimise and continuously improve aerospace manufacturing processes. You will define, validate and support processes from engineering to production, and develop SOPs and work instructions to meet quality and efficiency targets.

Qualifications

  • Degree (BEng) in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Manufacturing Engineering experience.
  • Industrialisation and manufacturing process development expertise.
  • Knowledge of DMAIC, PFMEA, SPC, ERP/MRP and PLM systems.
  • Project delivery experience (cost, quality, delivery).
  • Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and ability to work independently.

  • Technical Stamp (or ability to achieve within 6 months).
  • CATIA or similar CAD/CAM experience.
  • Lean manufacturing experience.
  • Project management knowledge.
  • Experience supporting suppliers and audit/compliance exposure.
  • QRQC and operational excellence experience.
