Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for a 12-month contract based in Bolton. The role requires SAP experience and the ability to interpret design drawings to produce manufacturing build instructions.

The candidate will contribute to electronic subassembly manufacture through system-level builds, support validation, and assist in non-conformance processes using SAP.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP in manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings for build instructions.
• Experience with electronic subassemblies up to system level builds.
• Knowledge of assembly processes for small electro-mechanical actuation systems.
• Include manual handling and ESD training as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Compile and update Manufacturing Instructions.
• Design, commission, and prove tooling for manufacturing.
• Support industrial validation using FMEA/FAI where relevant.
• Resolve technical issues during manufacturing.
• Update route cards due to rework activities.
• Manage configuration control via design modifications in instructions.
• Support the non-conformance process using SAP.

Manufacturing Engineer

12 Month Contract

As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be working alongside a market-leading defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. You will be involved in:

• Compilation and update of Manufacturing Instructions.
• Design, Commissioning, and proving of associated tooling.
• Support the industrial validation process through the use of FMEA's, FAI's etc.
• Resolution of technical problems that may arise during the manufacturing process.
• Route card changes as a result or rework activities.
• Management of Configuration Control by the embodiment of Design Modifications into the Manufacturing Instructions.
• Support to the Non-Conformance Process using SAP.

Qualifications Required:

Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 Standard)

AND

Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 4 academic qualification (HNC, diploma, etc.)

AND

Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ) *Not required if a L3 apprenticeship standard has been achieved

OR

Degree in a relevant Engineering subject.

Your skillset may include:

• SAP experience
• The ability to interpret Design Drawings with a view to producing Manufacturing Build Instructions
• Experience in Electronic subassembly manufacture through to System level builds
• Experience and knowledge of the assembly process for small/miniature Electro-Mechanical Actuation Systems
• Manual handling training.
• ESD training.
