Job summary
Anglian Home Improvements in Norwich is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to maintain and improve our automated production systems, ensuring equipment reliability and minimal downtime. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to influence projects and drive efficiency across the site.
You will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Continuous Improvement teams to diagnose faults, upgrade controls and deliver improvements that boost productivity, quality, and operational
Qualifications
- Time-served Electrical Engineer or equivalent NVQ Level 3, HNC or HND qualification.
- Experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
- Strong PLC fault-finding and programme modification experience.
- Knowledge of industrial automation, drives, sensors and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve electrical and automated manufacturing systems to maximise reliability and efficiency.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults across production equipment and systems.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support.
- Support installation, commissioning and upgrade of manufacturing equipment.
- Develop and maintain electrical drawings, schematics and documentation.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and raise equipment effectiveness.
