Job summary

IMI plc is seeking a Site Manufacturing Leader to oversee production, purchasing, Continuous Improvement and despatch functions. You will lead a cross-functional team including Planning, Quality Engineering and shop floor staff to deliver consistent performance for key customers.

The role requires engineering expertise, a track record in lean manufacturing and strong leadership with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

Degree qualified in an engineering discipline with post graduate qualification and/or Chartered status.
Experience leading a cellular manufacturing operation for demanding customers.
Knowledge of world class manufacturing techniques such as Lean, Kaizen and SMED.
Strong analytical and commercial acumen with leadership capability.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership for the manufacturing team including Purchasing, Planning, Quality Engineering, Continuous Improvement and shop floor staff.
Drive improvements in performance through goal setting, training, coaching and prioritisation.
Ensure resources align with customer requirements and set production priorities.
Identify and solve production problems across suppliers, schedules, staff, quality and resources.
Promote continuous improvement and maintain high standards of quality, reliability and safety.
Foster relationships with Quality, Engineering, HR and accounts; handle employee relations and performance issues.
