Job summary

The Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) at the University of Warwick is seeking an Engineer to help SME manufacturers with their digital transformation journey. You will apply Industry 4.0 tools and collaborate with external technology providers and university experts to deliver tangible value.

You will translate client challenges into clear, implementable recommendations, develop prototypes, and create demonstrations that excite clients about digital solutions.

Qualifications

• Interest in Automation Systems & Robotics
• Interest in AI applications in manufacturing
• Interest in IT and OT System Architectures
• Interest in Manufacturing Systems (ERP, MRP, MES and PLM)

Responsibilities

• Understand client challenges, identify digital technologies as solutions, and present actionable recommendations for implementation
• Develop proof-of-concept and demonstrable solutions for clients
• Design and build demonstrations showcasing latest digital technologies to clients
• Lead digital transformation workshops and produce technical roadmaps and grant applications
