Job summary

360 Recruitment in Derby is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to support monthly management accounts, cost reporting and manufacturing cost control. The role involves liaising with production teams to monitor costs and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.

You will assist with budgeting and forecasting, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and help with month-end and year-end closures while ensuring policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or studying ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience in accounting, preferably in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly management accounts preparation.
• Monitor and analyse production, labor, and overhead costs.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Prepare cost reports and KPI analysis for factory operations.
• Assist with stock valuation and inventory reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Work closely with production and operations teams to improve cost control.
• Assist with audits and ad hoc financial projects.
