Job summary

Axon Moore is supporting a well-established, growing manufacturing business to appoint an Assistant Plant Controller. This operations-focused finance role reports to the Financial Controller, delivering standard costing, inventory controls and cost improvement across the site.

You will partner with production teams, support month-end processes, budgeting and forecasting, and provide insightful financial analysis to drive performance and accountability.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA or QBE is required.
• Manufacturing/industrial finance experience essential.
• Understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, absorption and variance analysis.
• Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end processes with accurate reporting deadlines.
• Produce standard costs, inventory, absorption and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis for production volumes.
• Work with operational teams to drive cost savings and continuous improvement.
• Assist external audits and maintain financial controls.
• Provide clear financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
