Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, implement, and improve manufacturing control systems across multiple sites. You will support safety, quality and productivity by optimizing PLC, HMI, SCADA, and automation networks, while collaborating with Production, Maintenance, Safety, Quality and external vendors.

You will manage CAMS, drive system upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and develop data analysis tools to monitor performance and enable data‑driven decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls/Automation/Mechatronics or related field.
  • Proven experience in controls engineering within manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of machine processes, measurement systems and automation principles.
  • Hands-on experience programming, commissioning and troubleshooting PLC systems (AB, Siemens, Schneider).
  • Working knowledge of HMI, SCADA, MES, MRP, and industrial networking.
  • Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage CAMS across multiple sites and equipment.
  • Develop, modify and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and automation systems.
  • Lead system upgrades and expansion projects to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, controls, instrumentation issues for 24/5 operations.
  • Develop data analysis and reporting tools to monitor performance.
  • Drive integration between CAMS, MES, MRP and other systems.
  • Prepare CAPEX projects including business case, cost estimation, budgeting.
  • Support installation, commissioning, validation and handover of equipment.
  • Provide technical support to Production and Maintenance teams.
  • Lead RCA investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
