Job summary

Aspion Search is supporting an established manufacturer in Irlam to recruit a Buyer / Stock Controller. You will manage purchasing of raw materials, packaging and site supplies, while maintaining stock records and building strong supplier relationships.

The role involves SAP usage, data accuracy and cross‑department collaboration to support production needs. With 3+ years in manufacturing purchasing, you will negotiate terms, monitor market trends and contribute to cost savings.

Qualifications

• Three years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with SAP is highly advantageous.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills.
• Experience managing stock and purchasing production materials.

Responsibilities

• Purchase raw materials and site supplies, aligning with production & logistics.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times and terms to ensure reliable supply.
• Use SAP to manage purchasing data, stock levels and supplier records.
• Monitor stock requirements and support forecasting to meet demand.
• Develop supplier base and coordinate on-time deliveries with site teams.
• Maintain purchasing documents and reports accurately.
