Job summary

Mane Energy is seeking an experienced Operative Buyer to help keep production running smoothly by securing materials and coordinating with suppliers. The role focuses on maintaining continuity of supply through effective purchasing, MRP, and scheduling to satisfy production needs.

You will identify potential supply issues, take corrective action, and work with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing, strong delivery performance, and improved purchasing terms.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Buyer in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with MRP systems and supplier KPI monitoring.
• Able to identify supply risks and take proactive corrective actions.
• Strong planning, organisational, and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide purchasing and procurement support to maintain production continuity.
• Monitor stock and MRP requirements to identify shortages.
• Raise and manage purchase orders aligned with production needs.
• Expedite orders to minimise production disruption.
• Manage supplier portfolio and track KPIs.
• Resolve supplier delivery and quality issues.
• Support sourcing and procurement improvement projects.
• Maintain procurement data and collaborate with internal teams.
