Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a time served Manual Vertical Borer for a heavy engineering role in Ashton-under-Lyne. You will set and operate vertical and horizontal borers on a variety of jobs with abundant overtime and secure day shifts.

The salary is £35,000 with an OTE of £55,000, plus 33 days holiday, a 3% pension, and a £250 bonus paid twice a year. You finish at 4:30pm Monday-Thursday and 1:00pm on Fridays, with Fridays early finish.

Qualifications

• Time served CNC Borer with Fanuc controls.
• Able to set and operate vertical and horizontal borers.
• Offline programming experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate vertical borer machines.
• Work on horizontal and vertical CNC machines in heavy engineering.
• Overtime opportunities to increase earnings.
