Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking an experienced Manual Turner/Tool Maker for a permanent role in Wetherby. The position is 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, with paid overtime and a salary ranging from £35k to £40k DOE.

The role is on-site in Wetherby, easily commutable from York, Leeds or Harrogate. You will join a busy, growing engineering/manufacturing company and operate in a tool room environment, performing manual turning, grinding, polishing and related tasks to exacting

Qualifications

• Experienced tool room operative within the engineering sector.
• Excellent Manual Turning skills.
• TIG Welding knowledge would be advantageous.
• Surface Grinding & Polishing experience.
• Capable of reading complex engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of providing accuracy and quality.
• Ability to work to both independently and well within a team.
• Adhering to all Quality and H&S Standards.
• Manual Milling and Boring experience would be beneficial.
• Experience in machining a wide range of specialist materials including heavy flame cut structural steels, high tensile steel, aluminium, brass, bronze and acetal.
• Experience of working to ISO9001:2015.
• Ability to visually inspect work.
• C/B FLT License would be beneficial.

Manual Turner/Tool Maker

Perm Role, £35k-£40k pa DOE, Days, 37hrs per week, Mon-Thurs, Overtime

WETHERBY

I am looking for an experienced Manual Turner/Tool Maker, with good knowledge of Conventional Engineering techniques, to work for an Engineering/Manufacturing company based in Wetherby. The business is commutable from York, Leeds or Harrogate and this is a great opportunity to join a busy and growing company.

Required Experience:

• Experienced tool room operative within the engineering sector
• Excellent Manual Turning skills
• TIG Welding knowledge would be advantageous
• Surface Grinding & Polishing experience
• Capable of reading complex engineering drawings

The core working hours for this role are 37hrs per week, 7.30am-5.15pm from Monday to Thursday. Overtime is always available and is paid at Time + 1/3 on weekdays and Time + ½ on Saturdays. The starting salary for the role is experience dependant, between £35k and £40k. This role is advertised as Permanent from day one.
